Built from the field up
Buildster, a QC and deficiency app founded by Dax Xenis and Jakko Vos, has set out to make field coordination visual, organized, and intuitive.
Construction projects rely on collaboration between multiple teams (site managers, employees, and trade contractors) and are often spread across large, fast-moving job sites. But traditional methods of coordination, like texting or emailing updates, can quickly spiral into confusion.
Dax Xenis
That frustration became the spark behind Buildster. The app lets users drop digital pins directly onto project blueprints in order to tag deficiencies, link photos, and complete inspection checklists. Each pin becomes its own communication "channel," keeping all related conversations in one place and making it visual, traceable, and actionable.
The result? No more hunting through long message threads or guessing which floor a deficiency was found on. Everything is right there, linked to the blueprint.
